This venerable tree stands in the front courtyard of the Castle of Saint George, looming above the ancient harbor of Lisbon, Portugal. This tree was in a position to see the departure of Christopher Columbus on his historic voyage, but she has seen so many things in her lifetime she may not remember that one small flotilla.
